Look for the Big Picture

Could you widen your vision to find the big picture?

Early on, milk was delivered from the farm in open buckets, which allowed it to become dirty and contaminated. Dr. Hervey Thatcher invented a glass milk bottle in 1884, but crude methods for milking cows contaminated the milk before it was even bottled, so Dr. Thatcher recognized that the entire milk production system was the critical problem. He invented a cleaner method for milking, an improved bottle and lid, and a new system to distribute the milk. His ideas helped keep milk fresh and clean for everyone to drink.
