Apply Your Background

What hobbies do you have that you can apply to your problem?

In the mid 1400s, German metalworker Johann Gutenberg discovered a way to print books faster than had ever been imagined. He invented moveable type – a method of casting individual letters in metal, setting them in lines, and stamping the inked letters on a page.

This process worked well – especially for the English language, which is built on only 26 letters. Gutenberg’s printing press made books more accessible, and printing spread quickly throughout Europe. Soon, books became the basic way for people to record and transfer ideas.
